MarioKenda_
building apps for web3 companies
Mario runs a team that takes Web3 products from first sketch to mainnet — exchanges, lending protocols, trading dashboards and full dApps.
Hello
// 01Mario Kenda is a software developer with over 10 years of experience, including 6 years in Web3. He led the frontend development of RabbitX Perps DEX from the ground up—helping the platform reach $1 billion in daily trading volume—and contributed to Morpho Labs’ dApp v2, a non-custodial lending and borrowing protocol with over $5 billion in total deposits.
Mario specializes in frontend Web3 development using Next.js, ReactJS, and TypeScript. He also has hands-on experience with backend technologies (Node.js) and lighter smart contract development. Prior to his work at Morpho and RabbitX, he built a dApp for Strips Finance, enabling interest-rate derivatives trading on Arbitrum. His career spans InsureTech and DeFi, reflecting a deep passion for blockchain innovation.
After his tenure at Morpho, Mario shifted his focus to delivering comprehensive Web3 solutions. Collaborating with a freelance designer and a team of developers, he covers every stage of a project—from product design to frontend, backend, and essential smart contract integrations. He takes on select collaborations, oversees entire project development and continually explores emerging tools to deliver cutting-edge solutions in the Web3 ecosystem.
In parallel, Mario founded AdriaMed, a healthcare development lab that remains a side venture alongside his primary Web3 work. It builds on his earlier path — upgrading the Think!EHR health platform at Inova and digitizing insurance claims at Paysure — so his fluency in healthcare systems is earned rather than incidental. There a team of developers and medical experts, with a legal advisor guiding GDPR and compliance, builds guided online booking and bilingual solutions for medical practices and diagnostic centers — with EU-based processing, AES-256 encryption and GDPR compliance, storing no patient data.
What we build
// 02Mario and his team build any kind of app for Web3 companies, covering every stage of a project — from product design to delivery.
Product design
Product thinking before pixels: flows, interfaces and a design system shaped together with a dedicated designer — so the build starts on solid ground.
Frontend
Fast, responsive interfaces in Next.js, React and TypeScript — the same stack behind exchanges that have cleared a billion dollars in a day.
Backend
Node.js services and APIs that keep the app talking to the chain, indexers and third-party systems — reliably, at all hours.
Smart contracts
Wallet connections and smart-contract integrations, handled with care — the part of a dApp where mistakes cost real money.
Scope & design
Goals, flows and a design system — shaped with the designer.
Build
Frontend and backend, shipped in steady increments with previews.
Integrate
Wallets, smart contracts and third-party services — carefully and safely.
Launch
From testnet to mainnet — and the iterations after.
Track record
// 03A few products Mario helped take to production — and what they did once there.
RabbitX
Led the frontend of the Starknet-based exchange — security-first, 20x leverage, zero gas fees and 24/7 liquidity.
Morpho ↗
Contributed to the v2 app — core server-component architecture and loading waterfalls, wallet connections and the design system.
Strips Finance
Developed and maintained the dApp’s frontend on Arbitrum — trading, speculating and hedging rates on a cross-chain AMM.
AdriaMed ↗
A studio Mario founded, where a team of developers and medical experts — guided on GDPR by a legal advisor — builds guided online booking, safety questionnaires and automated emails and PDF summaries for clinics and diagnostic centers. EU processing, GDPR by default, no patient database.

Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Maribor
School of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Ptuj
Independent
Web3 app development for companies across the ecosystem — from product design to frontend, backend and smart-contract integrations.
After leaving Morpho in January 2025, Mario has been working independently with a team of developers and a freelance designer, covering every stage of a project — from concept to launch.
AdriaMed
AdriaMed is a development lab for healthcare where a team of developers and medical experts builds custom software for medical practices and diagnostic centers — guided online booking, pre-exam safety questionnaires and bilingual (SL/EN) clinic websites. A legal advisor guides GDPR and compliance: processing runs inside the EU (servers in Frankfurt), with AES-256 encryption and GDPR compliance by default; no patient data is stored.
Alongside his independent Web3 work, Mario founded AdriaMed and leads its team of developers and medical experts — a natural continuation of his earlier work in healthcare systems (the Think!EHR platform at Inova, claims digitization at Paysure), this time aimed at software for medical practices and diagnostic centers.
The team built a guided multi-step booking wizard and a safety questionnaire whose screening logic halts submission on risky responses and routes the patient to call; the backend auto-generates a formatted HTML email and a formatted A4 PDF summary with the attached findings, with a mailto fallback so the order persists even if a system fails. Shaped with medical experts on the clinical screening and a legal advisor on GDPR, it is in production at MDT&T d.o.o., Maribor (Diagnostic Center Bled group).
Morpho Labs
Morpho is a permissionless, non-custodial lending protocol on Ethereum and Base with over $5 billion in total deposits — one of the largest lending protocols in DeFi.
Contributed to Morpho Labs’ v2 app (app.morpho.org) from scratch — core architecture for server components and loading waterfalls, wallet connections, and the design system.
RabbitX
RabbitX is a global permissionless perpetuals exchange built on Starknet — building the most secure and liquid global derivatives network, giving you 24/7 access to global markets anywhere in the world, with 20x leverage.
Built a decentralized perpetual exchange (landing.rabbitx.io, testnet.rabbitx.io) from scratch shortly after the first app launched on mainnet — security-first, blazing fast, with zero gas fees and a superior user experience. ReactJS, Ethers.js and Hardhat.
Developed from scratch and maintained a dApp for trading interest-rate derivatives on Arbitrum (app.strips.finance) — trading, speculation and hedging of interest rates on STRIPS’ cross-chain AMM. ReactJS, Ethers.js and Hardhat.
Paysure Solutions Ltd.
Paysure Solutions is an InsureTech company (founded May 2017) building a smart-payments platform that digitizes insurance claims — automated, context-aware claims processing with seamless real-time payouts, built to banking-grade security standards.
Led the frontend of Paysure’s insurance-claims products — multiple Angular web apps and an Ionic 4 mobile app for filing, processing and paying out claims, replacing call-center queues and paperwork with a digital, largely automated flow.
Delivered the suite of apps to one of the biggest insurance companies in the world.
Povio Labs (YC W14)
Povio Labs is a Y-combinator backed company that has built apps for Silicon Valley’s fastest growing tech companies, like Flexport, Toymail, Editas Medicine, Rainforest QA, Flaviar, and Trulo.
Helped build a web app for booking exclusive flights for Aero (aero.com) — the company behind the next big thing in air travel.
Rebuilt mosaix.ai on Next.js with server-side rendering (SSR).
Inova IT d.o.o.
Upgraded the Think!EHR health data platform into an end-to-end, modular solution supporting the care process of chronic patients.
U-centrix d.o.o.
Developed and maintained critical components of a travel-booking website — the reservation overview and final booking page — using Angular components.
University of Maribor
Built custom plugins, templates and functions for WordPress-based sites.
Developed automation scripts and apps for fast content publishing.
